Greg Rodin, a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and distinguished legal professional, passed away suddenly on January 17, 2026 (28 Tevet 5786) at the age of 71. His untimely departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the legal community.
Greg is lovingly remembered by his childhood sweetheart and wife of nearly 40 years, Andria Paul Rodin; his children, Isaac and Lara (Jonah); his siblings, Carol and Cary (Cori); his many nieces and nephews; and all who were fortunate to know him. He was predeceased by his parents, Irven and Edith Rodin, and his parents-in-law, Leonard and Elaine Paul.
A towering figure in the legal community, Greg’s career spanned Alberta, Manitoba, and beyond. He was a relentless advocate for justice, playing a pivotal role in overturning wrongful convictions and championing civil litigation cases. His work secured meaningful settlements for individuals suffering from chronic pain and countless others whose voices needed to be heard. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Greg was a mentor and inspiration to many aspiring lawyers, instilling in them a commitment to justice and integrity. Yet, despite his professional success, Greg’s proudest achievements were his family and the life he shared with them.
Greg’s passions extended far beyond his work. A devoted lover of Israel and a proud practitioner of his Jewish faith, he found joy in music, motorcycles, and boating. His energy, humor, and generosity touched all who knew him. Whether sharing a laugh, offering guidance, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, Greg radiated warmth and kindness. His passing leaves an irreplaceable gap, but the love, memories, and lessons he imparted will endure.
In memory of Greg, donations may be made to Beit Halochem Canada, Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel, at https://www.beithalochem.ca/, reflecting his enduring commitment to supporting others and his love for Israel.
