He was 33 years old. Brenden’s sudden death has left his family, friends, and all who knew him grappling with an immense and painful loss.
Brenden Anthony Fearrin was born on November 3, 1992, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Candance Jo (Fearrin) Lawrence and Erik David Burns. From a young age, he was known for his gentle spirit, thoughtfulness, and deep sense of care for others—qualities that would define his life and the way he loved those around him.
In April 2015, Brenden married the love of his life, Baylee Ann Ralston, whom family members lovingly describe as his soulmate. The couple was married on April 27, 2015, in the Martinsville area, beginning a life together rooted in partnership, devotion, and shared dreams. Their marriage was built on mutual respect, unwavering support, and a deep bond that remained strong through every chapter of their journey.
In recent years, Brenden and his family relocated to Kendallville, where he took on the role of a stay-at-home father to their three sons, Jayden, Jackson, and Josiah. This role was not simply a responsibility to him—it was his greatest joy and purpose. He embraced fatherhood wholeheartedly, creating a home filled with love, routine, laughter, and security. His children were the center of his world, and he poured himself into nurturing, teaching, and supporting them each day.
Brenden found happiness in life’s simple moments. He cherished spending time with his children through video games, imaginative play, and everyday routines that strengthened their bond. He also enjoyed reading and was passionate about tabletop role-playing games, where he built meaningful friendships through shared creativity and storytelling at Krypton Comets. These hobbies reflected his love for imagination, connection, and community.
Those who knew Brenden remember him as calm, kind-hearted, and deeply attentive. His laughter was warm and contagious, his presence comforting, and his character grounded in empathy and patience. He had a way of making others feel heard and valued, and his gentle nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Brenden is survived by his wife, Baylee Fearrin; his sons, Jayden, Jackson, and Josiah, all of Kendallville; his mother, Candance Lawrence and her companion Junior Valdez; his father, Erik Burns and stepmother Leigh Burns; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Moneymaker; maternal grandmother, Constance Buis; his sister, Bryanna Renae Fearrin; his brother, Alexander Lee Carlson; his adopted son, Zachary Bishop; and his uncle, Nathan Cook.
