Joshua Criswell Obituary – Marion, Ohio Community Mourns Sudden Loss
The Marion County community is mourning the unexpected and tragic loss of Joshua Criswell, a 42-year-old resident of Marion, Ohio, who passed away in a traffic accident on the evening of January 19, 2026. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 7:10 p.m. on Marion-Williamsport Road West in Marion Township. Joshua’s vehicle, a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, collided with a 2003 Kenworth T600 semi-tractor, driven by 37-year-old Joshua Silvia of Marion, who was pulling a 2025 Fontaine trailer. Preliminary reports indicate that Mr. Criswell’s car crossed left of the centerline, striking the semi-tractor. Following the impact, his vehicle veered off the east side of the road, while the semi came to rest in a ditch on the west side. Emergency responders pronounced Joshua Criswell deceased at the scene. Mr. Silvia sustained minor injuries and received treatment on-site. Authorities noted that Mr. Criswell was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
